It’s time to extent our helping hands…
An essence of Meth Mihira program...........

Some are born talented. Some are born wise. Some are born rich. But some? It is the question we should ask ourselves now again.

Living in today’s world has become harder and harder. Life has become a race where people even struggle for survival.  And it’s time for us to open the doors of our heavens and reach for whom lagging behind us. The true meaning for humanity exists there.

“Meth Mihira” is a home for differently-abled children in the Koralawella area who are struggling to move on the challenging journey of life. If you turn right at the Moratuwa police station junction to the “Parana Para” and ride about 2km from there you can find “Meth Mihira” home at the left hand side of the road. Here the children are fed with knowledge and also they are given training to days to day activities like cooking, sewing etc.

There are about 55 students currently trained at “Meth Mihira” home. And there are 5 staff members headed by a sister to help them. In previous years too the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa has rendered an immense support including painting the “Meth Mihira” home.
Now it’s our time to open our eyes and extend our hands to our own brother and sisters to stand on there feet.

                                                      Come….. join….. Help them grow…..

                                                                                                                                                 Punarji
