Laptop Project
In an era where the world is considered a Global Village, it
is imperative for a budding young professional to have the right technological hardware
to meet the new world head-on.
This is the reason the third year undergraduates came up
with the ambitious plan of providing laptop computers to undergraduates who do
not own a laptop at present.
The idea for the project was communicated to our head of department,
Prof: Jayasinghe, who approved the idea and gave us guidance and directions as to
how this was to be fulfilled.
Today, we are proud to inform that as the first stage of the
project, we were able to provide laptop computers worth over 1 million rupees to
17 3rd year undergraduates.
We are extremely grateful to all who helped us in this
project, without whose immense support the project would have not kicked into
action. Because of the help they provided a student’s academic future was
further brightened. We remember with thanks the sponsors, both individuals
and groups, who unselfishly donated their wealth and time for this endeavor. We greatly appreciate their selfless efforts
to brighten the lives of young men and women who will one day take up the
weight of country onto their shoulders.
